Our client ranks among the leading direct response and retail marketers in the world. Their marketing and distribution operations extend across 4 continents, and its products are sold in over 80 countries worldwide.

The Client needed immediate development on one of his e-commerce portals. The project consisted of a lot of custom development work in many areas, namely, the home page, on the checkout, the user account, etc. On the payment option too, the client had certain requirements which were not available on Magento as default.

In the payment options, the client had a few new requirements, they wanted to us to empower them with partial payment options, EMI options. A project like this usually takes a minimum of 30 weeks, but the client needed it to be delivered within 10 weeks.

Our project team left no stone unturned to deliver the project on time. Moreover, Daffodil suggested to A/B test different homepages on the website. Therefore, two different pages were created,  one having the default layout while the other consisted of testimonials.

Similarly the checkout page too consisted of two versions one having a default Magento checkout, the other having a single step checkout. Based on the performance of the two pages the page that made more transactions was to be used.

Business impact

  • The portal was delivered to the client in 7 weeks which helped the client critically in going through with their planned operations.
  • Multiple images per product & product videos, this really helped catch the eyes of ecommerce store visitors. With this feature, the client was able to effectively showcase the various features and attributes of his product.
  • Catalog browsing & product review and comparisons were some of the default features of Magento which were even more enhanced with Daffodil’s customizations
